In the late 1960s, Ron discovered the charm of the original Edgewater Fishing Lodge, a humble retreat dating back to the 1930s. With a bold spirit and a builder’s intuition, he saw not just what it was — but what it could become.
In 1968, Ron began a remarkable transformation. Guided by passion, skill, and entrepreneurial flair, he reimagined the old fishing lodge into a stylish 25-unit boutique motel. It was more than a renovation; it was the birth of a new experience — one that would set the tone for decades of warm hospitality and charm.
